Chromium Tor-Button

Here's a great LifeHacker tutorial on how to get a button to easily enable and disable Tor in Chrome/Chromium. For those who haven't used Tor before it's a free network of distributed proxies that "prevents somebody watching your Internet connection from learning what sites you visit, [and] prevents the sites you visit from learning your physical location." For more information visit www.torproject.org.

Interesting, thanks for the link. I think I like their suggested method better than this Tor button approach. Having to restart Chromium is a bit inconvenient but it's more than made up for by the fact that you don't have to trust the Switchy extension. That's not to say anything bad about Switchy but it is an extra possible point of failure and not having to use it makes the whole thing more secure.
